A science policy and open science professional, Natalie is a Program Consultant working at the intersection of grant making, scientific community building, and open science advocacy. Most recently, she served as a Program Associate at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, where she directed open science conferences, supported grant programs end-to-end, and co-designed preprint advocacy initiatives in partnership with the Gates Foundation and Creative Commons. Prior to CZI, she was a Policy Analyst at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, contributing to the 2022 OSTP Public Access Memo, the White House Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights, and the White House Summit on STEMM Equity and Excellence. She also worked as an Analyst at the Federation of American Scientists on the Day One Project. Across her career, her work has centered on promoting open, equitable, and trustworthy research ecosystems. Natalie holds a B.S. and M.S. in Applied Mathematics and International Studies from Fordham University.
