To integrate ilastik with napari and Dask, replacing the outdated internal viewer and task scheduler by modern, community-supported alternatives with the aim to reduce technical debt, engage with the community, and deliver a superior user experience for the bioimage analysis community.
ilastik
ilastik is a popular open source tool which brings machine learning-based image analysis to users without computational expertise. The intuitive UI of ilastik and its carefully optimized algorithms have made it the go-to tool for interactive image segmentation, object classification, and tracking in the bioimage analysis community. The ongoing development of the deep learning workflow and the bioimage model zoo helps ilastik attract new users in microscopy and beyond.
